I received my four iPhoto books fom Apple computer iPhoto print service this afternoon, they are so nice layout and quality construction. I love them so much. Here to share the unpacking of those books.

Apple's packaging is always simple and stylishmedium_iphoto1.jpg

The book is wrapped by a plastic bagmedium_iphoto2.jpg

Feeling at ease when I see the properly-printed Chinese charaters on the cover, I can write more stuff in Chinese inside the book in the futuremedium_iphoto3.jpgmedium_iphoto5.jpgmedium_iphoto4.jpg

Leave the"bra" off during new year countdown

This morning I overheard nurses' conversation, something like " the band broke.... the bra....we need to leave bras off during new year countdown....." I couldn't help asking them what they were takling about?

It turned out I misunderstood the word, they meant " bad luck", not " bra". Am I too horny Is my Chinese too bad? ( In Chinese, both words " bad luck" and "bra" are pronounced the same way, like English words " two" and "too")

X'mas gift from CDC

I was notified this morning by hospital regarding a reward from CDC (Center for Disease Control), a suspected case of dengue fever I reported earlier has been confirmed positively as an oversea-infected case. The funny thing is that my first thought to this news was "oh... the monetary reward for reporting communicable diseases is real, NO BS". I have been reporting quite a few suspected cases of communicable diseases since 1999, so it is clear now that they are neither confirmed cases nor me being the first guy to report them, I used to have an evil thought the hospital took the reward on my behalf. Anyway, reward and penalty go along, I just need to follow the rules and report cases as needed, so next time, it won't be a fine instead of reward notice.

One wish

Two guys are in a locker room after their racquetball game when one guy notices the other has a cork in his ass.

"If you don't mind me saying," said the second, "that cork looks terribly uncomfortable. Why don't you take it out?"

"I can't," lamented the first man. "It's permanent."

"I don't understand," said the other.

The first guy says, "I was walking along the beach and I tripped over an oil lamp. There was a puff of smoke, and then a huge man in a turban came oozing out. He said, 'I am Hassan the Genie. I can grant you one wish.' And I said, "No shit?"

genie = 精靈
No shit

For you, a thousand times over 為你 千千萬萬遍

For you, a thousand times over.

This is my favorite yet sentimental sentence from the book, the kite runner. This novel is really a stunning masterpiece. I shed my tears on so many pages, and I can't stop reading it.

Don't wanna answer your call

One of our psychiatry residents chooses a song named "Don't wanna answer your call" as his ring tone on his cellphone, when first time heard it, I thought what the hell is going on? Very sarcastic and funny! Our chief Shie was really pissed off by the song!

After listening to the song, do you still wanna talk to that guy?

Eslite store

I spend this afternoon browsing Eslite the brand new or so called flag-ship store in SinYi district. I just love this place, why? One is the Apple center (I am an Apple geek!), although it is not a real " Apple store" like in the states, but it is getting closer the style and the feeling. Another is obviously the bookstore, I can stay there all day not getting bored. I end up buying few books, 2 travel books, 2 ancient culture books, 1 picture taking manual and 1 novel. ( as if I was gonna read all of them.. I seriously doubt it myself)
我自己也蠻懷疑的)medium_pict0018-small.jpg

College reunion

We had a college reunion last night at the Grand Hyatt, saw a lots familiar faces. None of us aged changed in appearance. (am I kidding?) Some people couldn't make it because of sick kids, meetings, works, etc. but it was still a good reunion. So good to see those once-lost-touch friends again.
